I spent 6 years in the USMC infantry as a squad leader. This place has their shit wired tight. The owner whom I know cares greatly about the community and giving back. Allow me to share with you my experience. It's New Years. I work at night mostly, so I wake up late and have to run to a shop. I go to a different shop than The Plant simply for expediencies sake at "The Nug" which is extremely close by. The Nug decides that they are going to close 10 minutes early. I show up (mind you I leave a 25% tip every single time I shop there which equates to an extra 20-30 dollars) THE MANAGER of Nug WHO HAS SEEN ME TIP 20-25% and has checked me out on multiple occasions looks me dead in the eye and says "sorry were closed." Then I go to The Plant, the place you will be frequenting after reading this review, and Sarah, Quinton, and Jay all were extremely welcoming and empathetic to me. They stayed open AFTER close to help not just me but 3 other customers. Jay was very patient with me, Quinton assured me that it was no problem and to stay calm, and I knew Sarah was ready to get home and celebrate New Years, but she decided to remain professional and let me in for the sale. I have worked in retail and food and I know how frustrating it can be when someone comes to the door last second. She assured me there was no issue and everyone wished me a Happy Holliday. For the reasons aforementioned, I am a customer of The Plant in Yonkers for the rest of the time I live within the city of Yonkers or near by the shop. Yes, there are other businesses that are ran similarly near by, but do they have people on the roster that will stay open 10 minutes past close on New Years at 10PM? I don't think so.

Take Exit 13 on Saw Mill River Parkway onto Farragut Ave/Hastings on Hudson. From here, take Ravensdale Road east. Ravensdale turns into Jackson Avenue, and then turns into Fort Hill Ave. Follow this road until Central Park Ave.; you’ll see Oakley’s Car Wash on your left. Make a left and follow Central Park Ave. until you reach The Plant on your left.

Follow 9/Broadway from points in the Bronx like Riverdale or Fieldston or points north like Hastings on Hudson. Turn onto Yonkers Ave. from the Getty Square area. Follow Yonkers Ave. until Cross County Parkway East. Follow the parkway until Exit 4N/Central Park Ave. Follow Central Park Ave. until you reach The Plant on your left side.
